ACADEMICS: Carried 3.0 grade-point average at Rancho Buena Vista High. ... Undecided major at Palomar.

2009 SEASON: Started at all three outfield positions at one time or another. ... Batting .271 with seven doubles and 11 RBIs. ... Played in 40 games, starting 28 as one of the fastest players on the club and the owner of one of the best arms. ... Usually batted lead-off or second. ... Got down 15 sacrifice bunts as a true freshman, No. 3 on the all-time Palomar single-season list. ... Second on the all-time Palomar single-season list for conference games with 11. ... Had five stolen bases on eight attempts. ... Went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a steal in the Comets' season-opening 5-2 season-opening victory at Cypress, the No. 2-ranked team in Southern California, on Jan. 27. ... Was 2-for-3 with two doubles and a sacrifice bunt in an 11-1 win at Cerritos on Feb. 18. ... Went 2-for-4 with a steal and a sacrifice against San Diego City College on Feb. 24. ... Was 2-for-4 and scored two runs as the Comets won 13-0 on the road over Imperial Valley on March 5. ... Came back in a 12-3 win over the Arabs on March 7 to go 2-for-4, drive in a run and score three runs. ... Got down three successful sacrifice bunts in a 7-1 win over San Diego City College on March 10. ... Went 2-for-5 and scored a run at Myers Field on March 21 as the Comets defeated Southwestern 9-2. The Jaguars came into the game ranked No. 1 in Southern California. ... Singled in a run and contributed two sacrifice bunts as Palomar went on the road and beat the No. 1 Jaguars again 10-6 on March 24. ... Had a single and an RBI in the championship game of the Palomar Super Regional on May 17.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Played for coach Leo Fletes at Rancho Buena Vista High. ... Was both an outfielder and a pitcher for the Longhorns.
