SAC, striking out seven and walking none, for his 11th victory in the opening game of the Palomar Super Regional on May 15. ... Pitched two innings of shutout relief ball, striking out three, in the Comets' season opener at Cypress on Jan. 26. ... Struck out five in 3 2/3 innings of one-hit, scoreless relief in an 8-4 win over Chaffey on Feb. 2 as he notched his first community college pitching win. .... Gave up one run on one hit, striking out four in three relief innings vs. Mt. SAC on Feb. 8. ...  Pitched 2/3 of an inning of shutout ball vs. Mt. San Jacinto on Feb. 14. ... Struck out four batters in four innings, giving up two runs, in a starting role against Mt. SAC on Feb. 15 but was not involved in the decision in a game the Comets eventually won 9-4. ... Was the winner in his first conference start on Feb. 28 at Grossmont, when he surrendered two earned runs in five innings, striking out seven and walking one. ... Allowed one earned run in 5 1/3 innings, striking out five, in a 7-4 victory over San Diego City College on March 6. ... Started and earned his third victory in a 10-4 win over San Joaquin Delta on March 20 as he allowed two runs on five hits, striking out six, in 5 2/3 innings. ... Came on in relief on April 1 and pitched six innings of one-run, four-hit ball against conference leader Southwestern. ... Gave up two runs on five hits in 5 2/3 innings on April 8 to pick up his fourth win as the Comets won 6-2 over San Diego City College on he road. ... Pitched seven innings of four-hit ball, allowing one earned run while striking out seven and walking two, at San Diego Mesa on April 15. Left the game with a 3-2 lead and wasn't around at the end as the Olympians came back to win 4-3. ... Pitched six innings of three-hit ball, striking out seven, as the Comets were eliminated from the Southern California Community College Regionals in their third game, 6-5 in 10 innings, on May 10.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Was the North County Times Player of the Year, Avocado League Pitcher of the Year and first-team All-CIF San Diego Section as a senior in 2007. ... Also was Oceanside High MVP, first-team All-Avocado League, first-team on the San Diego Union Tribune's All-Academic team and Oceanside's MVP. ... Compiled an 11-1 win-loss record as a senior with a 2.03 ERA. Also hit .360 with two home runs. ... Pitched for coach Dave Barret for the Pirates..

YOUTH BASEBALL: Was a member of the Oceanside American Little League All-Star Team that played in the 2001 Little League World Series at Williamsport, PA.
