Overall, he compiled a 2.00  ERA appearing in nine games out of the bullpen . . ... Finished with an ERA of 0.00 for 4 1/3 innings in five Pacific Coast Conference appearances. ... HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: All-CIF-Southern Section, all-league and a member of the Riverside County All-Star team playing three varsity seasons under coach Chuck Kemp at Paloma Valley. ... Helped pitch the Wildcats to back-to-back Sunbelt League championships as a junior and senior, the latter season as they went 23-4. ... Went 8-3 as a senior and led the Sunbelt League with a 1.60 ERA. ... Struck out 44 batters in 48 innings. ... Pitched a five-hit shutout on April 28, 2008, to give the Wildcats a victory over second-place Elsinore which virtually wrapped up a second straight league championship.
