Has one brother, Brent (21) and one sister, Lauren (18). ,,, Cousin of Austin Rauch, who plays Class A ball in the Colorado Rockies organization.

ACADEMICS: Carried a 3.60 grade-point average at San Pasqual High. ... Undeclared major at Palomar.

2009 SEASON: Made nine relief appearances and struck out seven batters in 8 1/3 innings ... Pitched two innings of one-hit, scoreless relief ball as the Comets opened the season with a 5-2 victory on the road against Cypress, the second-ranked team in Southern California, on Jan. 27. ... Pitched a scoreless inning in an 11-1 win at Cerritos on Feb. 18. ... Pitched a hitless, scoreless relief inning in a 13-0 win at Imperial Valley on March 5. ... Threw an inning of shutout relief vs. San Diego Mesa on March 17. ... Pitched a scoreless relief inning on April 14 as the Comets downed host San Diego City College 17-5 to stretch their lead over second-place Grossmont in the Pacific Coast Conference race to three games with seven to play. ...
