ACADEMICS: Carried a 3.2 grade-point average at Fallbrook High. ... Undecided major at Palomar.

2008 SEASON: Played in 33 games and started 22 splitting time with Jake Onorato in right field. ... Banged out 10 doubles. ... Also was 1-1 pitching with 11 strikeouts in 11 1/3 innings. ... Went 2-for-3 with a double in the Comets' season opener at Cypress on Jan. 26. Was 4-for-5 with a double and three runs scored in an 8-4 victory over Chaffey on Feb. 2. ... Threw two shutout innings in relief, striking out two, in an 11-1 win over Rio Hondo on Feb. 16 as he and four other pitchers combined on a six-hitter. ... Went 2-for-4, doubled and drove in two runs in a 5-2 win over San Diego Mesa on March 13. ... Pitched one-hit shutout ball with three strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings in a 10-4 victory over San Joaquin Delta on March 20. ... Allowed one run in 2 1/3 innings as the Comets won 9-8 at Grossmont on March 27. ... Doubled to drive in two runs in a 10-9 win over San Diego City College on April 10. ... Pitched two innings without allowing an earned run vs. Pacific Coast Conference Southwestern on April 26. ... Threw three innings of no-hit, shutout ball against Cuesta, the No. 2 seed in the Southern California playoffs, to help send the game to extra innings on May 10 before tiring in the 10th.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Played four seasons at Fallbrook and was first-team All-Avocado League, second-team All-North County, team MVP and team Defensive Player of the Year.
