SEASON: Came on strong late in the season and
batted .277 in the
Pacific Coast Conference and was an All-PCC honorable
mention selection. ... Was the Comets' primary
starting catcher but also started three games at third
base.
... Had eight doubles, a triple and 20 RBIs.... Went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI against
Fullerton on Feb. 7. ... Went 2-for-4, tripled and
drove in two runs in a 13-5 win over Ventura on Feb. 8.
...Was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in a 9-0
victory over Imperial Valley on March 4. ... Drove in
two runs on a first-inning single and a seventh-inning
squeeze bunt in a 7-5 win over Grossmont on March 25.
... Helped key a 14-2 victory over Imperial Valley on
April 5, when he was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, a double,
a sacrifice fly and a walk. ... Went 2-for-4 and drove
in a run as the Comets won 6-2 on the road vs. San Diego
City College on April 8. ... His lead-off single in the
bottom of the eighth got Palomar untracked as the Comets
scored five runs in the inning to come from behind and
beat San Diego Mesa 8-4. Contributed a big play on
defense in the top of the inning when he threw out the
Olympians' Eli Tupuola trying to steal when the Comets
trailed by a run. ... Went 2-for-4, doubled and scored
twice in an 11-6 victory at Grossmont on April 19 that
clinched no worse than a tie for second place. ... Was
3-for-6, doubled, drove in a run and scored a run as the
Comets downed Imperial Valley 13-2 on April 29. ...
Singled in the Comets' second run in a 3-0 win over
Santa Barbara City College on May 6 in the Southern
California Community College Regionals. ... Went 2-for-3
with a double in a Regional playoff game against Cuesta
on May 9 in San Luis Obispo.
