2008 SEASON: Was 2-1 with 11 appearances and three starts for the Comets  ... Compiled a 3.10 ERA and a 2.27 ERA as a reliever.... Was 2-1 with a 3.57 ERA in Pacific Coast Conference games. ... Pitched two innings of shutout ball in a 10-0 victory over Ventura on Feb. 1. ... Allowed two hits in 2 2/3 scoreless innings against San Bernardino Valley on Feb. 9. ... Had two shutout innings, allowing one hit, vs. Orange Coast on Feb. 19. ... Stopped San Diego City College on one hit in two shutout innings in the Comets' 7-4 victory on Feb. 27. ... Pitched 3 2/3 innings against Mt. San Jacinto on March 19, allowing one run on two hits. ... Beat Imperial Valley 14-2 on April 5, pitching six innings of two-run, five-hit ball. Struck out five and walked none in the game. ... Threw 1 1/3 shutout innings against Grossmont on April 22. ... Notched his second victory on April 29, starting and throwing six-hit ball over seven innings as the Comets downed Imperial Valley 13-2. Gave up one run, which was unearned.

2007 SEASON: Jenkins, a red-shirt freshman, had 10 appearances with a 1-0 record and a 4.50 earned run average. .... Had a 2.89 ERA for  9 1/3 innings in Pacific Coast Conference games. ... Pitched a scoreless, hitless inning against Santa Ana on Feb. 21. ... Came into the game with none out and the bases loaded in the top of the ninth inning -- and got out of the jam. ... Threw a one-hit, shutout relief inning in a 14-2 win at Imperial Valley on March 20.... Pitched a scoreless relief inning on the road against San Diego City College on March 29, coming in to end a Knights rally and get the Comets out of the inning. ... Pitched two relief innings, surrendering an unearned run, in an 8-3 victory over Mt. San Jacinto on April 4. ... Threw a hitless, scoreless relief inning vs. Southwestern on April 10. ... Beat Imperial Valley 11-3 on April 21 on the road, throwing three innings of no-hit, shutout ball in relief.

2006 SEASON: Red-shirted after under-going knee surgery.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Struck out 91 batters and walked 20 in 97 innings playing for ex-Comet Bill Dunckel at Valley Center High as a senior in 2005. Finished with a 2.1 ERA. Also batted .333 with eight doubles, two triples and 22 steals. ... Was second-team All-Valley League both as a sophomore in 2003 and as a senior in 2005 and helped the Jaguars reach the 1993 CIF-San Diego Section Division III semifinals. ... Played in the Senior Showcase after his senior season. ... Also played one season of football  and a season of basketball for the Jags.
