PERSONAL: Born March 7, 1987, in Hilo, HI. ... Son of Carolyn and William Loeffler. ... Has a brother, Matthew (15), and a sister, Jessica (16). ...  Cousin of Palomar freshman first baseman / designated hitter Kevin Seaver.

2007 SEASON: Appeared in 10 games for the Comets, compiling a 4.80 ERA in 15 innings. ... Had an ERA of 1.04 over 8 2/3 innings in six relief appearances in the Pacific Coast Conference as of April 22. ... Pitched two scoreless relief innings against Grossmont on March 2. ... Pitched a 1-2-3 relief inning an a 14-2 win over Imperial Valley on March 20, retiring the Arabs with a strikeout and two pop-ups. ... Pitched a 1-2-3 inning, again vs. Imperial Valley, in a 16-0 victory on April 24. ... Pitched 3 2/3 innings of one-hit, scoreless ball vs. conference champion San Diego Mesa on April 28. ... Threw a one-hit, shutout inning as the Comets closed out the season with an 8-2 win over San Diego City College on May 3.

2006 SEASON: Appeared in 10 games or the Comets, all in relief, utilizing one of the best curveballs in the Pacific Co to strike out seven batters in eight innings. ... Pitched a hitless, scoreless inning in relief in a 12-1 win at Mt. San Jacinto on Feb. 23. ... Threw a hitless, scoreless ninth inning vs. San Diego City College on March 25, striking out two. ... Teamed with five other pitchers to shut out Imperial Valley 8-0 on April 4.

2005 SEASON: Red-shirted at the University of Hawaii.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Was an all-league and all-state second-team selection at Waiakea High. ... Helped the Warriors to league championships in both 2003 and 2004.
