2007 SEASON: Jenkins, a red-shirt freshman, has 10 appearances
with a 1-0 record and a 4.50 earned run average coming
off knee surgery a year ago as of April 22 .... Has a
2.89 ERA for 9 1/3 innings in Pacific Coast
Conference games. ... Pitched a scoreless, hitless inning against
Santa Ana on Feb. 21. ... Came into the game with none
out and the bases loaded in the top of the ninth inning
-- and got out of the jam. ... Threw a one-hit, shutout
relief inning in a 14-2 win at Imperial Valley on March
20.... Pitched a scoreless relief inning on the road
against San Diego City College on March 29, coming in to
end a Knights rally and get the Comets out of the
inning. ... Pitched two relief innings, surrendering an
unearned run, in an 8-3 victory over Mt. San Jacinto on

HIGH
SCHOOL BASEBALL: Struck out 91 batters and walked 20 in 97
innings playing for ex-Comet Bill Dunckel at Valley
Center High as a senior in 2005. Finished with a 2.1
ERA. Also batted .333 with eight doubles, two triples
and 22 steals. ... Was second-team All-Valley League
both as a sophomore in 2003 and as a senior in 2005 and
helped the Jaguars reach the 1993 CIF-San Diego Section
Division III semifinals. ... Played in the Senior
Showcase after his senior season. ... Also played one
season of football and a season of basketball for
the Jags.
