PERSONAL: Born May 21, 1986, in Fallbrook. Son of Carl and Cheryl Wideman. ... has one sister, Kristin, 24.

NCAA DIV. I COLLEGE: Has signed with the University of the Pacific.

2006 SEASON: Had 10 doubles (second on the club), a triple and 4 home runs (also second on the team) and 22 RBIs. ... Went 3-for-4 with a double and 3 RBIs vs. Cypress, an eventual State Final Four Team, on Jan. 28.. ... Went 2-for-3 with a home run, double, RBI and 3 runs scored in a 10-3 win over Sacramento City College, the second-ranked team in Northern California at the time and another eventual State Final Four Team, on Feb. 4. ... Went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and 2 walks in a 10-3 win at Citrus on Feb. 9. ... Singled in the first inning for what turned out to be the game-winning RBI in a 7-4 victory over Glendale on Feb. 10. ... Tripled to drive in a pair of runs as the Comets downed Los Angeles Pierce 12-4 on Feb. 18. ... Went 2-for-4 against Orange Coast on Feb. 21. ... Was 3-for-3 with a double and 3 RBIs in a 12-1 win over Mt. San Jacinto on Feb. 23. ... Helped spark a 16-3 rout of San Diego City College on March 4 by going 4-for-5, slugging a solo home run, doubling twice, driving in 2 runs and scoring 3 runs. ... Had a 2-run HR, a sacrifice fly and 3 RBIs in a 12-1 win against Imperial Valley on March 9. ... Went 2-for-5 with an RBI in a 6-4 victory at Grossmont on March 16. ... Had the game-winning RBI at Southwestern on March 24 with a 2-run home run over the left field fence in the third inning. ... Southern California Regionals Round 1 — Singled, was hit by pitches twice and had a sacrifice bunt in the Comets' opening series with Rio Hondo on May 13-14.

2006 SEASON: Red-shirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Hit .418 with 9 home runs, 50 runs scored and 41 RBIs as a senior in 2004 in helping lead Fallbrook to a 30-5 record and a runner-up finish in CIF-San Diego Section Division I. ... Was a first-team All-Avocado League selection in both 2003 and 2004. ... Played for coach Matt Parker. ... Made the honor roll all four years at Fallbrook.
