His father played in the Major Leagues for the San Diego Padres and later was a coach for the Padres. ... He currently is a radio-TV  broadcaster for the Padres ... Great-nephew of Hal Flannery, who played for the Pittsburgh Pirates. ... His father coached him in high school as an assistant coach at San Dieguito Academy his senior year.

NAIA COLLEGE: The first player to sign with San Diego Christian, which will begin its first season ever next season under head coach Mike Lord, the Comets' current outfield coach.

2006 SEASON: Has batted .292 for 24 at-bats in 18 games for the Comets as a left fielder through the regular season. ... Hit .364 for 11 at-bats in 8 Pacific Coast Conference games. ... Singled in the eighth inning vs. Los Angeles Pierce on Feb. 16 as the Comets launched a comeback that fell short. ... Started in left field and was 1-for-3 vs. Cerro Coso on Feb. 17.. ... Came off the bench and singled during a 6-run sixth inning during a 12-1 victory over Imperial Valley on Feb. 25. ... Drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in a 16-3 win over San Diego City College on March 4. . ... Southern California Regionals Round 1 — Singled and drove in a run vs. Rio Hondo on May 14.

2005 SEASON: Red-shirted after undergoing knee surgery.

2004 SEASON: Batted .320 on the season and .316 for 19 at-bats in Pacific Coast Conference games, playing as a back-up outfielder and pinch-hitter. ... Reached base twice in the eighth inning Feb. 20 in a 19-2 win over College of the Siskiyous, singling and being hit by a pitch. ... Came off the bench to single and walk in a 10-1 victory over San Diego Mesa on March 9. ... Drove in the winning run with an eighth-inning single March 11 on the road in a 7-5 win over San Diego City College. Went 2-for-4 for the game with two RBIs. ... Singled to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning April 6, when the Comets scored the winning run to beat Orange Coast 4-3.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for former Palomar outfield coach and current University of Connecticut assistant coach Bruce Elliott and, later, Jason Litt at La Costa Academy. ...
