that put the Comets in the championship

Four Pitched 4 1/3
innings in relief vs. Santa Rosa on May
30, giving up 2 earned runs. The Bear
Cats won 5-1 to force an extra game in
the double-elimination tournament, then
won the State Championship by beating the
Palomar again and forcing the Comets to
settle for a state runner-up finish.

State All-American and Oakland A's Class
AAA minor league outfielder Bob Parry at
