the State Championship game, the first
San Diego County team to do so in 31

Feb. 8. ... Started at second base in the
Comets' 5-4 victory over San Diego City
College on March 1 and had a single, walk
and sacrifice bunt before leaving the
game for a pinch-runner in the fifth

run as the Comets downed San Diego City
14-8 on March 15. ... Started at DH and
went 2-for-4 on March 17 as Palomar beat

doubled in the winning run as the Comets
