2005 SEASON: High on Major League clubs' potential draft lists after coming on strong during the 2005 season. ... Voted to the All-Pacific Coast Conference first team by conference coaches and played a key role as the Comets became the first San Diego County team to advance to the State Championship Game in 31 years. ... Played a key role in Palomar's Final Four run in Fresno over Memorial Day weekend, which ended one win short of a State title. ... Finished the season with a 5-2 record and a 3.50 earned run average.. ... Was 4-1 in conference play with a 2.28 ERA, striking out 43 and walkingn 9 in 51 1/3 innings. ... Surrendered only 2 earned runs in his last 25 innings of the regular season. ... Started the season opener vs. Ventura on Feb. 3 and threw 4 shutout innings before tiring and leaving the game in the fifth. Wound up with a non-decision in a game the Comets won 5-3. ... Has started 4 games as of March 20. ... Gave up one run on two hits in five innings vs. Mt. SAC on March 24. ... Beat San Diego Mesa 9-2 on March 31, giving up two runs on six hits in a seven-inning stint, striking out seven and walking one. Took a four-hit shutout into the seventh inning. Gave up 1 run on 2 hits in 5 innings April 7 to beat Impeiral Valley on the road. ... Gave up 2 runs on 6 hits in 6 1/3 innings April 14 vs. Southwestern. Led 3-0 when he came out of the game, which the Comets eventually lost in the bottom of the ninth. ... Pitched 8 shutout innings to beat San Diego City College 2-0 on April 21, giving up only 5 hits. ... Threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball, sttriking out 9, vs. host Grossmont on April 30, giving up 2 earned runs but was a hard-luck 3-2 loser in a game that he touched 92 mph for pro scouts. ... Shut out Imperial Valley 1-0 with a 4-hitter, 8 sttrikeouts and 1 walk in the Comets' regular-season finale on May 5. Won a pitching duel from the Arabs' J.R. Stevens, who threw a 2-hitter. Southern California Super Regionals — Pitched 6 2/3 strong innings to keep the Comets in the game in a victory over Cuesta on May 21 that staved off elimination in a tournament they won the following day. Scattered 4 hits in the 6 2/3 innings, striking out 7. State Final Four — Beat host Fresno City College in the winners' bracket finals, giving up 3 earned runs in 5 1/3 innings.

2004 SEASON: Had a 3.00 earned run average with 9 strikeouts in 6 innings to begin the season but wound up taking a medical redshirt due to an injury. ... Pitched 2 innings of shutout, 1-hit relief vs. Cerritos in the Comets' season opener on Feb. 6. ... Struck out 7 batters in 4 innings in his first start of the season Feb. 21 vs. Mt. SAC.

2003: Struck out 10 batters in 10 1/3 innings. ... Appeared in 7 games. ... Recorded the win in relief March 11 as the Comets defeated defending Pacific Coast Conference champion Grossmont 11-10 in 10 innings. ... Pitched a scoreless inning in relief March 20 in an 18-0 win over Imperial Valley. ... Pitched a shutout inning, striking out 2, April 30 in a 20-0 victory over the Arabs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Dave Barret at Oceanside High School. ... Was a second-team All-Valley League selection as a senior. ... Started the 2002 CIF-San Diego Section Division II championship game against Eastlake and pitched shutout ball through five innings. ... Overcame tendenitus in his shoulder to go 6-0 as a senior. ...
