2004 SEASON: Stared 30 of the Comets' 36 games in right field, being converted from the infield after transfering from the University of Hawaii. ... Batted .276 on the season and .295 during the Pacific Coast Conference season. ... Went 2-for-2 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs, also reaching base as a hit batter and via a walk, in an 11-9 win over Mt. SAC on Feb. 20. ... Slugged a 3-run home run in an 11-2 victory over Mt. SAC on Feb. 21. ... Went 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs against Southwestern on March 4. ... Drove in 2 runs with a single and a sacrifice fly March 27 in a 9-6 win over Grossmont. ... Went 2-for-4 in a 5-3 win over Pacific Coast Conference champion Southwestern on April 24. ... Went 3-forf-4 with a home run, double and 2 RBIs in a 7-5 win over San Diego Mesa on May 4. ... Came back May 8 to go 3-for-5 with a HR, double and 2 RBIs as the Comets beat Mesa again 11-3 to conclude the regular season in second place in the conference. Postseason — Went 2-for-3 with a double in 8-7 loss to El Camino College in the opening game of the Southern California Regionals.

2003 SEASON: Played on the NCAA Division I level as a true freshman for Hawaii.

HIGH SCHOOL: Team MVP three years at Poway High School, where he played for coach Bobby Parry, onetime Palomar right fielder and ex-San Diego State All-American who played in the Oakland A's organization. ... Batted .450 as a senior in 2002 with 9 home runs, 8 stolen bases, 45 runs batted in, 22 walks and only 2 strikeouts. ... First-team All-Palomar League and All-CIF-San Diego Section. ... Selected to play in the Jack Taylor San Diego County All-Star Game.
