2004 SEASON: Began the season as the Comets' starting third baseman but has been sidelined since mid-February by a shoulder injury.

2003 SEASON: Played on the NCAA Division I level for the University of San Diego.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Eric Morton at San Marcos High School, where he batted .415 with 12 home runs as a senior in 2002. ... Set school records in home runs (season, career), doubles (season), runs scored (season and career) and hits (season). ... Was first-team All-CIF San Diego Section and Avocado League Player of the Year as a senior. ... Tied the CIF-San Diego Section record for consecutive hits with 11 during his senior season. ... Helped lead the Knights to the Avo League championship as a junior in 2001. ... Made the San Diego All-Academic Team. ... Was a two-time participant in the Duke Snider Home run Derby. ... Also playd freshman and JV basketball and was team Defensive Player of the Year.
