SAC on Feb. 20, throwing 4 2/3 innings of shutout ball in relief and giving up 3 hits. ... Pitched a hitless, scoreless inning in relief March 23 in a heartbreaking 5-4 loss at Pacific Coast Conference leader Southwestern. ... Pitched an inning of shutout relief April 13 in a 15-0 win over Southwestern.

2003: Batted .385 for 13 at-bats as an outfielder and threw 19 innings as a relief pitcher. ... Was 2-1 with a save. ... Finished with ERAs of 3.32 for the season, fourth-best on the team, and 0.61 for 14 2/3 innings in Pacific Coast Conference games. ... Threw a hitless, shutout inning in relief against Cochise Community College of Douglas, Ariz., on Feb. 2. ... Started in right field against Orange Coast on Feb. 19 and went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a walk. ... Picked up the victory in relief in a 12-9 win over Grossmont on April 10. ... Shut out San Diego Mesa on 1 hit over the last 2 1/3 innings to record the save on April 24 as the Comets clinched the conference championship by winning 18-5. Postseason — Pitched the final 1 1/3 innings against Santa Ana on May 10 in the Comets' second game of the Southern California Regionals.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Eric Morton and later coach Ryan Gallego, a former Palomar and San Diego State catcher, at San Marcos. ... Batted .340 as a junior with 22 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. ...
