doubles and 2 RBIs Feb. 20 to help spark the
Comets to a 19-2 victory over College of the
Siskiyous. ... Was hit by 3 pitches and stole 2
bases later the same day in an 11-9 win over Mt.
SAC on Feb. 20. ... Was 2-for-4 and drove in a
run Feb. 21 in an 11-2 win vs. Mt. SAC. ... Was
selected as Pacific Coast Conference Athlete of
the Week for the week ending Feb. 29 after going
5-for-8 in two games during the week. ... Went
3-for-3 and walked, was hit by a pitch and stole
a base vs. Orange Coast on Feb. 24. ... Went
2-for-5, doubled and drove in two runs as the
Comets defeated San Diego City College 19-5 in
their Pacific Coast Conference opener on Feb. 28.

March 9, going 3-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs.

Olympians' Joe Cunningham of a base hit. ...

tripling, doubling and driving in 2 runs. ... Was

coach Steve Afenir, a former Palomar and
University of Wyoming outfielder, at Escondido
High School. ... Was Escondido's varsity, JV and
freshman MVP in baseball; MVP and Most
Inspirational Player as a receiver in football;
and and Most Improved award winner baskeball. ...
Played basketball for teams that were Valley
League and CIF-San Diego Section Division III
runners-up.
