Palomar
is recruiting athletes for women's track & field, which
the Comets brought back in Spring 2008.
It was the first time in
more than 20 years that Palomar fielded a women's
track team.

Williams, who also
coaches women's cross country in the
Fall, came to Palomar from Cuyamaca College, where she
head women's cross country and track & field coach for
seven seasons. She guided the Coyotes to five
consecutive conference track championships and was a
conference Coach of the Year selection.
Williams starred
on the community college level at Santa Ana College,
where she placed ninth in the state cross country finals
in 2000, and on the four-year
college level at San Diego
State and San Francisco State.
She set an SDSU stadium
record of 11:14 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and
placed 67th in the 2001 USA Cross Country Championships
at Mobile, AL. Williams also was an
all-conference 5,000-meter runner at San Francisco
State.
