SEASON: Saw
limited action pitching for the Comets, but
compiled a 2.79 ERA while striking out seven in 9
2/3 innings. ... Was effective in a Southern
California regional tournament relief stint
against Riverside Community College, the eventual
State champion.
2001
SEASON: Even
though he only threw 12 1/3 inning, Woychak
pitched effectively for the Comets all season.
... His ERA of 0.73 led the team. ... He struck
out 11 and walked only two. ... Has had shutout
relief appearances against Los Angeles Pierce,
Irvine Valley, College of the Siskiyous, state
power Cypress, Imperial Valley, Golden West, San
Diego Mesa, Imperial Valley and both Cypress and
San Bernardino Valley in the Southern California
Regionals. ... Last gave up a run March 22
against Mesa and surrendered one earned run all
season Feb. 24 vs. Southwestern.
