Laptops can be
checked out from the Academic Technology
Resource Center (ATRC) Help Desk
located at LL-101 (first floor of the
Palomar College Library, San Marcos campus).
|
 |
Your CNED
class enrollment and valid
picture ID will be checked at the ATRC desk.
|
 |
Laptops are
only for use in the Palomar College Library
and cannot be removed from the library
building.
|
 |
Laptops will
be available on a first come, first served
basis. They cannot be reserved ahead of
time.
|
 |
Check-out is
for 2 hours with a possible 2-hour renewal unless the laptops are
scheduled for a class, in which case they
must be returned after the initial 2 hours.
Laptops may only be checked out or renewed at the Academic
Technology help desk on the ground floor of
the library. Classroom reservation of laptops
takes precedence over individual checkout.
Possible checkout times, therefore, may vary
depending on classroom lab schedules.
|
 |
Laptops must
be returned in person to the ATRC help desk.
|
 |
Laptops will
not be checked out when there are less than
2 hours before the ATRC help desk
closes.
|
 |
If you have
fines or holds on your Library account or
other official college records
you will not be allowed to checkout a
laptop.
|
 |
If you have
previously violated this checkout agreement,
you will not be allowed to check out a
laptop.
|
 |
You may not
save your work to this laptop, but instead
you must save it to a removable storage or
email it to yourself.
|
 |
Laptops are
not configured for printing. If you
need to print, email the document to
yourself, or otherwise save it (see above)
and print it from the ATRC permanent lab.
|
 |
You may not
remove installed software or hardware from the laptop or
otherwise change its configuration.
|
 |
Headphones may
be checked out with the laptops upon
request. You are responsible for
returning the headphones along with the
laptop. |
 |
You must
observe the guidelines for access and use of
college telecomputing devices, and also the
student code of conduct while using the
laptop: |
