 Welcome to the
mobile wireless labs web site. Now you can
bring the lab to your classroom, rather than
bringing the class to the lab.
 Beginning
Spring 2005 we will have 30 Dell Inspiron
8600 laptop computers in 2 mobile carts available
for classroom reservations. When not in use as
a mobile classroom lab, the laptops may be checkout
out by individual students working in the San Marcos
campus library. In summer 2005 we will be
adding another 2 carts (30 more computers) to the
offering.
Faculty members
should click the "Faculty Information" button to find out
how to reserve the computers and what the policies
are concerning their use. If you already know,
click the "Reservation Form" to make a
reservation. Be sure to check the
mobile lab reservation calendar first.
Occasionally due to employee shortage, we may be
unable to deliver the laptop carts to your
classroom. You may be asked to pick-up and return
the laptop carts.
Students wishing to
find out about the policies and procedures for
checking out the laptops should click the "Student
Information" button.
The
FAQ is provided
for general interest about the mobile labs. We
also maintain another web site dedicated to
wireless
computing at Palomar, beyond the realm of the mobile
labs. You will find there a
web forum
if you wish to discuss wireless issues or problems.
