Create a custom motion path

You can draw a custom motion path for an object to follow, if you wish.  To do so, place an object on your slide (like the standard Autoshape shown below):

Select from the Custom Animation task pane as shown:

Your cursor will become a small pencil. Draw freehand the path you wish the object to take.  You can then control its speed, reverse its course, and so on using the custom animation controls.
