Saving All Attachments at the Same Time

When you receive a Microsoft Outlook message containing several attached files, you don't have to open and save each file separately. You can save multiple attachments to the same location in a single step. Here's how:

  1. Click Save Attachments on the File menu.
  2. When the Save All Attachments dialog box opens, click OK.
  3. Then select the folder where you want to save the files, and click OK.

Note: When you use this shortcut, you must save all the files to the same folder. To save each attachment to a different folder, you will need to save them individually (from the Microsoft Office Tip Center).

Outlook Quick Address Shortcut.  If you send e-mail to the same person all the livelong day, make it easier on yourself. In Outlook 2000 and 98, you can create a desktop shortcut that will open a blank, preaddressed message that's all ready to send to your No. 1 e-mail buddy. Here's how: Right-click in a clear area of your desktop and select New > Shortcut from the menu that pops up. In the pop-up text box, type mailto: and enter the e-mail address of your coworker, leaving no spaces. Click the Next button and choose a name for your shortcut (such as Boss). Click Finish, and a new shortcut will appear on your desktop. Double-click the icon, and Outlook will open with your recipient's address in the To: text box.  [Tip from CNet]. MS PowerPoint and FrontPage

How to place your PowerPoint presentation on the web:

  1. Start PowerPoint.

  3. Choose File > Save as a Web Page…

  4. You will be prompted for a save location. For our example, let’s choose the desktop.

  5. PowerPoint will save a file on the desktop called "math13.htm" and it will also save a folder full of files on the desktop called "math13_files." This folder contains web versions of the slides, artwork, and any other components used in your presentation.

  6. Close PowerPoint.

  7. Start FrontPage.

  8. Open your web (i.e., File > Open Web > then type the URL in the folder name box).

  9. After you have authenticated on the network and your web is open, choose File > Import

  10. When the Import dialog box comes up, click the Add File button in the upper right-hand corner of the dialog box.

  11. In the “Add File to Import List” dialog box, Navigate to and choose the file math13.htm and click OK. The file will be imported into your web.

  12. Choose File > Import again. This time click the “Add Folder” button (just below the Add File button).

  13. In the “File Open” dialog box, navigate to the desktop and click once on the folder math13_files to select it, then click “Open.”

  14. Click OK on the File Import dialog box. The folder and all its files will be imported into your web. There is no need to create a folder separately, FrontPage will do it for you!

  15. That's it.  When linking to your presentation, link to the file math13.htm It is an index, which will load the rest of the presentation.
