Palomar College has a variety of facilities that are used for educational purposes. Located on the roof of the Earth-Sciences foyer, the department has a solar telescope, and several optical telescopes.

The west dome houses the largest optical telescope at Palomar College. The telescope is a Celestron 14-inch Schmidt Cassigrain reflector with an equatorial fork mount.

The east dome houses a 4" Unitron refractor.

This unique telescope is driven by a Unitron gravity displacement drive system.

We also have a variety of smaller Celestron C-8 telescopes.

And a collection of donated telescopes, including this cool Meade 16" Starfinder Dobsonian telescope.

And, we have this one other telescope that is very historical indeed.... CLICK HERE TO SEE
