Laurie will have the fantastic opportunity to excavate at the probable Indian village of Powhatan on Gloucester Farm in 2003. She works as a 9th grade World History teacher in Yorktown, Virginia. She has served a s volunteer lab assistant and field archaeologist for the 17th century Fairfield Plantation (http://fsweb.wm.edu/fairfield/) in Gloucester. She has also worked with archaeologists from Fairfield and Colonial Williamsburg to create a collaborative Teacher's Institute for local teachers to learn about historical archaeology in Colonial Virginia. Worked part-time at Jamestown Settlement Museum (www.historyisfun.org) as an historic interpreter in the Powhatan Indian Village. Worked as lab assistant for Palomar Program and field archaeologist for Professional Archaeological Services (1996-1999). |

Professor Kerckhove teaches philosophy but archaeology is his avocation. He was just selected as Interim Dean of Media, Business, and Community Services. He has a Certificate in Survey and Lab Analysis and has virtually completed his Excavation Certificate. He has also assisted Dr. de Barros with the Palomar Field School. |

Just hired full-time at Edwards Air Force Base as an archaeologist. Worked as Cultural Resources Intern at Vandenberg AFB for two years. Completed B.A. Trained as paleontological monitor. Worked for Chambers Group in Costa Mesa as Field Archaeologist and Monitor. Served as coordinator (including scheduling) of monitors in the field for a large fiber optics program. Worked for Professional Archaeological Services at ORA-1582H and ORA-149, Summer 2001. |

Mike has graduated from UCSD with a B.A. in Anthropology (focus archaeology) and a minor in music. Mike participated in a field school at San Elijo Lagoon in 2002. He also interned at ASM in Encinitas where he does lab work and basic lithic analyses for 4 of the San Elijo Lagoon sites. He also took a flintknapping class. He plans to apply for the PhD program in archaeology at UCSD. He has done surveying for Professional Archaeological Services, Fall 2000. |

Used total station skills learned in ANTH 220 to help map SDI-913 at Cuyamaca Rancho State Park for the Cal State Parks, Summer 2001. Served as Lab Assistant at Palomar (Fall 1999 and Spring 2000). Helped do total station mapping of SDI-5581 and sites at Cuyamaca State Park. |

Graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Archaeology/Anthropology at SDSU & has nearly completed her M.A. at SDSU. Now working with San Diego County and the Historic Sites Board as an archaeologist.
