ASA PHILBURN |
Completed
Survey and Lab Certificate; one class shy of Excavation
Certificate. Took Advanced Archaeological
Surveying, Spring 2002. Served as intern with
California State Parks, San Diego Office, Fall 2000,
Spring 2001. Archaeological excavations at ORA-149 for
Professional Archaeological Services (Summer 2001).
Worked at SDI-913, Summer 2001, helping to map
milling features for Cal State Parks. |
SHERYN HODES |
Did experimental archaeology by fabricating and testing
atlatls. Served as intern at the San Diego
Archaeological Center, Fall 2000. Took Advanced
Archaeological Survey Class, Spring 2002, at Cuyamaca
Rancho State Park and at the Pioneer Cemetery in
Oceanside. |

TYLER LLOYD
 |
Tyler is well into the Palomar Archaeology Program,
having taken beginning and now advanced excavation as
well as the archaeological surveying (ANTH 210). He is
working as a lab technician (ANTH 297, Special Problems
in Archaeology), helping to inventory and catalog
Palomar College's collections to meet the requirements
of AB 978 passed in the Fall of 2001. |
ANGEL
ENRIQUEZ
 |
In the Summer of 2006, Angel worked as a teacher in
Kenya and travelled in Uganda, East Africa. She is
now in her Junior Year at Yale. Her father James
recently emailed Dr. D that "this is pretty neat, the
fun of attending your archaeology classes during her
high school years inspired her to discover Africa on her
own."

Angel started at Palomar as 15-yr
old high school student, taking Beginning
and Advanced Excavation. She then went
on to Yale University to continue her studies. |
JAMES
ENRIQUEZ
 |
James, Angel's father, has Beginning
Excavation (ANTH 120) and Advanced
Excavation (ANTH 205). He and his daughter work very
well together as a team and completed almost two
excavation units during their first semester.
James also completed Archaeological Surveying (ANTH 225)
and Lab Analysis (ANTH 215). He has completed the
program and is doing graduate research on Mongolian
archaeology. |

ASHA ALEIA |
Served as intern at
the San Diego Archaeological Center, Fall 2000.
Worked for Escondido CRM firm 2001. |
BEV LAUFENBURGER
 |
Bev
was once part of the Palomar Archaeology Program and has
returned to complete classes she has not take. She is
currently enrolled in Advanced Excavation (ANTH 205).
