Dr D,

Thanks.  I just wanted to give you a long overdue thank you for all you have done for me.  Your classes have given me the background I needed to succeed in going on to finish my BA in Anthropology (Archaeology Concentration) and find work.  The undergrad advisor here at the University of New Mexico was highly impressed with all the course work I had done prior to transferring here.  She actually made a comment that I had come to UNM with more experience and knowledge than most of the students get here in 4 years. She was especially impressed with both survey classes and the lab class.  I gave her a copy of the Palomar archaeology program course list as she is thinking of making some changes in UNM’s Anthropology (Archaeology) program.  I have been doing summer field over the last couple of years, as you know.  I have just finished doing a field survey (historic mining camp) in Nevada for ASM (Reno) and I am now working for the entire summer here in New Mexico at the Valles Caldera National Preserve (US Forest Service) as an archaeological technician.  I only have 2 classes (Gen Ed) to go to complete my BA.  I couldn’t have done it without your guidance, classes and the real life field experiences that you gave me.  Your program is the best!  Thank you for all you have done for me and all the others that have or will be passing through your programs doors.

Keep up the good work!!!!!

Thanks again,

Mark Boyle
