1)   The Core Project Team will define and set benchmarks for core skills that are shared, taught and assessed by all disciplines at Palomar College and determine a protocol to measure those skills. This will require the participation of faculty, staff, and administrators in focus groups to be conducted this fall.

A second set of focus groups will be conducted in the spring   that will include students, members of the community, high school representatives, university representatives and business people.

2)  The Departmental Team will pilot programs to assess skills particular to specific disciplines, certificates or vocational training programs.

3)   The Curriculum Revision Team will integrate our definitions of the common skills into our curriculum development process.
