Who can apply for admissions to Palomar?
You!


To attend Palomar you may be:
 
  • a high school graduate or equivalent
  • anyone (including non-high school graduates) 18 years of age or older
  • a minor who may profit from instruction and has permission of the local high school district and a parent or guardian. Students under 15 years of age are restricted to courses designed for children. Permission to enroll in other classes rests with the instructor. Some programs have limited admission or have additional academic or skill requirements. Please print the following forms and instructions for each semester and submit with application to Admissions. 
  • Approval For K-12 Student/Graduation Verification of Minor
  •  must be signed by school district and parent or guardian. Instructor signature is also required for students under 15 years of age. 
  • a transfer, out-of-state or international student

When?   To meet your busy schedule, there are frequent start dates throughout the year.

Where?   Palomar College has 7 Education Centers and numerous other locations to serve you in North County!

VISIT THE FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS OFFICE in the Student Services Center on the San Marcos campus or visit the Financial Aid  web site for information. ATTEND ORIENTATION AND ADVISEMENT following an assessment session. This workshop will clarify the process of selecting first-semester course work.  Visit the Assessment, Advisement and Orientation web site for their schedule. You can now make an appointment online! Instructions  

SEE A COUNSELOR prior to enrolling in classes to ensure that you meet prerequisites and are taking courses which meet your education goals. (760) 744-1150, ext. 2179.  You may also obtain further information from the Counseling Center web pages. Instructions  
USE YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE to help you select the right classes. You will also find important registration information, calendar dates and other information necessary for your success. Schedules are available in the Admissions Office, the Counseling Office, at the Education Centers, at most  public libraries in North County, and online. USE YOUR ONLINE CATALOG to research program requirements, degree and certificate requirements, course descriptions and much more.    
ENROLL IN CLASSES that will meet your educational goals. Once your application is processed, you will be issued an online registration appointment. You can register online at this day and time or anytime after. If you forget your Palomar ID or Password, see #3 above.

PAY YOUR FEES immediately after registering. Palomar accepts checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and AMEX. You may pay your fees by credit card online. Checks and money orders are limited to the amount of total fees. Please make your check or money order payable to Palomar College. Non-payment of fees does not guarantee the cancellation of your classes. Be sure to drop any classes that you do not attend. Visit the Cashier's Office web for further information. Instructions Video
