NCEOC's First Graduate Terri Scannel
We congratulate Terri Scannel for completing her A.A. degree at Palomar College and transferring to CSUSM. Terri is one of our first NCEOC program participants and has proven that dedication and determination will bring success and accomplishment. We wish Terri the best at CSUSM.
My name is Alexis and I have been a student at Palomar Community College for two years. The EOC Program has been a source of immense help for me as I was very unsure of how to go about receiving financial aid. I also did not know what kind of programs and help were available to me. During my first appointment in the EOC office, I was very nervous but the staff put me at ease with a reassuring smile made the whole process very easy. They showed me how to renew my financial aid myself now but the NCEOC staff still welcomes me into the office if I forget something or have questions. Without the EOC program, I would not have found the courage to embark on this academic journey. I have brought many friends to the EOC office as well and they have all benefited from this program.
The North County Educational Opportunity Center (NCEOC) program is sponsored by the Department of Education. NCEOC offers free services, including assistance with enrollment and financial aid applications and academic support programs to students who wish to enter, re-enter, or continue in a program of post-secondary education. Assistance is also available to students who wish to re-enroll in a high school diploma or GED program.
