Palomar College has specific rules for accessing the Internet on the campus. In addition, the Library has policies related to use of Internet-accessible computers in the Reference area. PALOMAR COLLEGE SHALL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INFORMATION OR PROGRAMS OBTAINED OR USED FROM THE INTERNET BY USERS.

• No reconfiguring of software is allowed. Please do not change the way programs operate, including email or browser settings.
• No execution of downloaded programs is allowed. Saving a downloaded file to a floppy disk or portable flash drive is fine, provided copyrights are not violated. No saving to the hard drive is allowed.
• Viewing of pornographic sites is not permitted unless related to coursework.
• Sending of malicious or abusive email is prohibited.
• Printing costs 10 cents per page for black and white pages and 30 cents for color pages.

The Library Manager has a printed copy of the Palomar College Library Internet access policy. Violation of these rules may result in the loss of Library computer-use privileges.
