READING ROUNDUP
Images about Libraries and Books
by R. A. Zuckerman
12 colorful and engaging images share the painter’s insights into the world of libraries and books. You will find humor and variety in these paintings, which depict many subjects ranging from: costumed tots reaching for their mother at a Reference Desk; bookstalls along the Seine in Paris; the stately lions and friend in front of the New York Public Library; people poling by boat, in a Louisiana bayou, to get to a bookmobile; and a Summer Reading puppet show accompanied by a cowboy guitarist’s music.
The book Reading Roundup, sample pages, sample prints, and materials about the paintings, the artist and the subject matter are on display as part of the exhibition. The pages of the book, Reading Roundup, the catalog of this exhibition, may be viewed at: www.itme.info
