I'm having difficulty downloading applications
from your website.
All job descriptions and
applications on our website are in Adobe PDF format, and
can only be accessed if a recent version of the Adobe
Reader program is installed on your computer.
You can download this FREE program from the Adobe
website by clicking the
appropriate link for your operating system below:

Windows version
-
Macintosh version
Additionally, computers that
do not have the most recent version of Microsoft Internet
Explorer or another web browser might have difficulty
downloading web pages properly. You can the current
versions of the most commonly-used web browsers for free
by clicking the appropriate link for the browser you prefer
below:

Microsoft Internet Explorer (most commonly-used web
browser for Windows)
-
Safari (most commonly-used browser for Macintosh)

Firefox (another popular web browser for both Windows
and Macintosh)
Older computers may also experience difficulty in
downloading applications from our website.
The larger the file, the longer the download time.
Typically, applications on our website take only a minute or
two to download on a slower connection. If, after several minutes, you continue to
experience difficulty, please follow these instructions:
a) Click the "Back" button on your browser.
b) Right-click the link to the application you would
like to download.
c) Select the "Save Target As" option and save the
file to your desktop.
Cleaning out your browser's
cache and then restarting your computer may also enable you
to view our application materials.
If
you are still unable to view or print applications from our
website after following the instructions above, please call
the 24-Hour Job Line at (760) 891-7201 or stop by the
Human Resource Services office in room A-1 on the main
campus in San Marcos to obtain application materials.

may experience difficulty downloading web pages.
You can download
the current version of Microsoft Internet Explorer at
microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp. Cleaning out your browser's
cache and then restarting your computer may also enable you
to view our website.

Can I submit my application online?
Applications may be filled out online but then must be
printed, signed, and submitted
with the other application materials required for the
position for which you are applying. Application
materials may be submitted to Employment Services in person,
via postal service, or by fax if followed with a hard copy
sent by postal service.

How do I fill out the application online?
1. Complete
all required form fields
of the application, starting with the "Date of Application"
field. If more space is required to complete any section
- for example, if there are not enough fields on the
application form to list your entire employment history -
please create additional sheets to include the information
that doesn't fit on the form, and attach these sheets to
your application.
Helpful Hints:
-
Hold the
mouse cursor over the form field without clicking
to view a description of what information is required in
the field and suggested formatting tips.

Type the
required information into
the field.
-
Press the
"Tab" key to move to the
next field.
2. Print all
pages of the application.
3. Sign all
required portions of the application.
4. Submit
your completed application packet and other items
listed on page 2 of the Position Announcement to Employment
Services.

I am unable to
fill out the application online. How else can I
complete it?
- You may save the application on your
computer so it can be completed offline at a later
time. Click the “Save” button (indicated by the floppy disk
icon). Then, select the file or location where you wish the
application to be saved on your computer. Finally, click
the “Save” button again. Please note: saving the
application to your computer may not save the
information you type into the form fields, depending on
the version of Acrobat that you have.
Therefore, we recommend that you complete your entire
application at one time and print a
copy for yourself prior to submitting it to Employment
Services.
- You may print the application
and fill it out by hand or
typewriter.
- If you have access to a scanner,
you may also choose to print the application,
scan it, and then type the
required information into the form fields.

Where can I find
applications on your website?
Applications for permanent
and part-time faculty positions are available on our website
at
www.palomar.edu/hr/palomarjobs.htm. Click on the type of position
you are interested in applying for (for instance, click
"Full-Time Faculty" if you are interested in a full-time
faculty position), and you will be directed to the page of
our website containing the corresponding open positions.
Then, click on the position title that interests you to
access the position announcement and application for that
position. The actual application packet begins after the pages of information about the
position.
