President's Associates

For almost 50 years, the Palomar College Foundation has assisted the College in securing supplemental funding and other resources necessary to insure student success. Committed to securing this supplemental funding, the Foundation relies on the efforts of several auxiliary groups, including the prestigious President’s Associates.

The President’s Associates are a group of business and community leaders who express an on-going commitment to San Diego County by supporting Palomar College through financial means and other gifts. Because Palomar College is a vital resource to the area’s workforce, this environment represents a meaningful contribution to the community.

Members receive the opportunity to network with other business leaders as well as an informal occasion to meet with Palomar College Superintendent/President, Robert Deegan on a regular basis, to discuss the welfare and progress of the College.

The funds raised by the President’s Associates support student
scholarships and other financial needs of the College. Some of the gifts include:

Student Book Grants – $178,000
New Opportunities Scholarship - $13,500
Vocational Scholarships - $10,500
Bravura Literary Journal - $24,000
Artist in Residence - Over $47,000
Early Acceptance Program (EAP) - $40,000
Library Remodel - $120,000
Performing Arts Lab Remodel - $54,000
Instructional Equipment & Supplies – Over $212,000
Library Automation - $125,000
