Sentence Types

Read each sentence and decide if it is simple, compound, complex or compound/complex. Then check your answers.

Sentence Problems

Read the sentences to find if they contain fragments, run ons, comma splices, choppiness or are correct.

Participles

Complete each sentence with the present or past participle of the verb in parenthesis.

Articles

Fill in the blanks with "a," "an," or "the" where necessary.

Verbal Phrases

Decide if the underlined phrase is an infinitive, gerund or participial phrase.

Subject-Verb Agreement

Fill in the blank with the correct form of the verb.
